Remember cootie catchers? Same idea, grown-up version, and it's entirely DIY: you fold it, you play it. One of you is the Picker, the other is the Fortune Teller. Fold it up, pick some numbers, and land on a flap that reveals 3 prompts and a QR code hiding a surprise pose. Whatever you land on, you do it together, on camera.
It's a little unpredictable by design. Genuine reactions beat posed ones every time. Here's the part most people miss: that's not a coincidence. It's the exact same principle behind every session we shoot. The moment someone else calls the pose, you stop wondering if you're doing it "right" and you just do it. This game is a five-minute, at-home version of that. A real session is that, fully guided, for hours, with someone who's spent 15+ years learning how to read a couple.

Our job is to become students of you. We might start with a familiar pose or prompt, but we're never trying to recreate the same session twice. As you relax and reveal more of who you actually are together, the experience takes its own shape.
22 Years in Healthcare, 15 Years Behind the Camera
Mary has spent decades caring for people through some of the hardest seasons of their lives. Combine that with over a decade photographing couples, and you get someone who reads a room, notices what your body language isn't saying, and makes sure both partners feel seen and respected, even the nervous one.
She's Lived It, Too
Married, divorced, raising kids. Mary understands long-term relationships, changing bodies, exhausted parents, and what it actually takes to build a life with someone. This isn't a theory for her.

Your session doesn't have to stay inside our studio walls. Want to bring a classic car, a motorcycle, a meaningful location, or an idea that sounds a little out there? We're in. We don't squeeze every couple into the same set.

How It All Began
Studio NÜDE Boudoir is a full-service intimate portrait studio in downtown Green Bay, Wisconsin, founded by award-winning photographer Mary Breuer. For more than 15 years, Mary has photographed over 1,500 women, men, and couples, building experiences centered on art, connection, freedom, and being fully seen. Her work has been published and displayed through the Smithsonian.
The Focus
For this experience, we're focused on couples: the ones who love each other but feel buried under work, parenting, and the same predictable routines. We create a private, playful, fully guided experience that gives you space to step outside your everyday roles and make something meaningful together. The Cootie Catcher above is a small taste of that guidance. Every experience includes a prep guide, styling assistance, access to our wardrobe, professional hair and makeup, full posing guidance, digital images, and artwork credit.

Before You Book, A Few Quick Answers
Is the consultation actually free, no strings attached?
Yes. It's a conversation, not a sales pitch. We'll learn about your vision and show you what's possible so you can decide with real information, not guesswork.
What if we're nervous?
Almost every couple is. Amanda said the same thing above, and it disappeared once we got started. That's exactly why the whole session is guided: neither of you has to know what you're doing.
Roughly what does it cost?
It depends on your vision and the images and artwork you choose. Nothing we offer is quick or rushed, so it's closer to an all-inclusive experience than a typical photo session. We'll walk through real numbers and funding options together during your consultation.
Couples Experience
Is hair and makeup included?
Yes, for everyone participating. We'll talk details during your consultation, then plan more specifically before the session. The goal isn't to make you look like different people, it's a polished version of you.
How intimate can the experience be?
Almost anything can be implied; we simply can't photograph bodily fluids or explicit acts. Outside of that, we're very open to your ideas. We'll talk through your vision, boundaries, and comfort level together before the session begins.
Do you work with LGBTQIA+ couples and nontraditional relationships?
Absolutely, including throuples and other multi-partner relationships. Every participating adult attends the consultation and gives their own clear consent. No one can volunteer or speak for a partner.
Can I keep it a surprise for my partner?
The invitation can be the surprise, but the experience itself can't happen without your partner's knowledge and enthusiastic consent. Make the consultation the surprise instead: pour a drink, tell them what you've been dreaming about, and enjoy imagining it together.
